Even communists have to stay up to date on technology.

Why is their road, house and vehicle technology behind then?

[ - ] Rob3122 0 points 1.5 yearsNov 16, 2022 17:22:58 ago (+0/-0)

Because they're communists and all those things would benefit the people.

So you're saying ethnicity is totally separate from that?

If it was all about ideology, as you imply, why wouldn't the genetics that make the brain affect one's perception of these ideologies?

Man, that assisted driving feature sure has come a long way.

I played enough video games to know when you get the "player controller disconnected" message.

Yikes... sips coffee, places back in cup holder, shifts manual transmission

Hopefully not with an electronic clutch control.

Hydro-physical line all the way, my dude. If I ever get an auto, it's definitely not going to have 'On Star' or GPS or whatever wireless communication they've got going on these days.

Now show me where in the "social contract" it says I have an affirmative duty to act as a human crash-dummy or traffic-cone in order to educate some billionaire's "AI project".

Let Musk buy his own country and population to try out his bug-ridden software.

Highly unlikely that that was in autopilot.

The amount of mass that car has traveling at that speed is just incredible the momentum when it hits that car at the end just explodes that little jitney thing.

That thing really wrecked some shit. Lol. One of my fantasy weapons is a spherical lump of titanium or some yet unknown tougher material with some antigravity mechanisms and suppressed energy generation hardware deep inside the protective shell. It could be anywhere from the size of a bb for stealth missions to the size of a wrecking ball for military level operations. It would just crash through people and things at extremely high speeds, whatever the materials allow, and there could be swarms of them. Ideally, it would also incorporate molecular behavior modification and manipulation, which it would use to quickly and efficiently regenerate and repair damage on the outer shell between strikes, part of the collection of effects under the Hutchinson Effect umbrella term.

It's not a realistic plan for anything near-term, but it's a fun weapon to fantasize about. We could probably develop it within about 100 years of establishing a breakaway civilization.

Closest approximate thing that would sorta fit the bill of what your describing (available at market today). Would be something along the lines of several drones able to lift tungsten rods high enough to make the target below a pile of rubble.

Granted the payload would be so embedded in the ground that it might not be recoverable. Having said that though tungsten rods would probably be the cheapest thing to replace. Just a midsize tungsten rod with a hole or two to allow the drone to hold on to.
