Must be very strange to be growing up as a young boy in school watching all these movies where the women are all the heroes. These boys are going to wake up and get in relationships and expect those girls to go beat the asses of any trouble that comes along in the streets. What a shock they're going to have.

Those boys are fucked. Every generation has it worse with the programming that women are more than they are. That women are kinder, gentler, fairer, smarter, more honest, less superficial, and wholly better people than they have ever earned the right to be called. They hear women want equality, and grow up wondering why the fuck everyone was lying to them. It makes one default hate humanity and society in general.

Eowyn was written as a shield maiden who slew the nazgul. If this perception is a problem, part of the blame lies with Tolkien propagating silly romantic notions. Women cant fight men in battle.
