the right to bear arms shall not be infringed and yet people seems to want to codify this right in to state laws even though the constitution is clear about this issue.

States have constitutions as well. Some reaffirm and clarify the US constitution.

It's just to make a voting issue... gun policy was the second most important issue in vote, more than inflation or crime.
Guess what was the utmost important issue that some would vote for a democrat...

I believe oregon just passed through voting that will make it nearly impossible for any oregonian to purchase a gun...

It hasn't passed, and won't be decided due to mail in bullshittery.
The count when I checked it this morning was 51% yes to 49% no, at 73% counted. It was 51% yes to 49% no at 62% when I checked it this afternoon. It is now 50.8 to 49.2 at 72% of votes in.

People are pissed, and if they're saying it's nearly 50/50, it's a landslide for no. Possible they may decide to bullshit it as failing to pass, but just barely. Possible they die. We will have to see.
