NBC reported that Paul Pelosi opened the door, didn't declare an emergency..... and then walked back to his attacker and was attacked.

After airing, NBC deleted this video from their website, adding a message "The piece should not have aired because it did not meet NBC News reporting standards"

To add: by all accounts, Pelosi called the police from the bathroom. Instead of locking the door and staying there safe, he then he left the bathroom to be out where "the intruder" was and be with him.
