Senior US politicians have been long infiltrated by Chinese Intelligence.

These same US politicians are the architects of the situation in Ukraine (upon Chinese instruction)

This has achieved several foreign policy aims for CHina:

1. Russian Energy supply rerouted from Europe to China
2. Substantial economic boost for Hong Kong (Thanks to all the sanction busting)

Also - the current war is a wonderful data gathering exercise for the Chinese military.
