Well hell I just joined over there using a mailinator.com fake email.
Honestly I have to say it looks pretty cool. Works pretty well in the interface looks nice. And if you click on the little global icon that looks like a little world it gives you the federated feed which is the feed from all the different servers that link together to form the federated system that this whole thing exists on and you just get a constant stream of new posts. It's kind of cool. It does seem to have a lot of content. I haven't seen a lot of political stuff on there yet. I'm going to test some truths on there and see if they have some way to throw me off. I think all they really have is they can block you or the people who run the server can maybe remove you from their server which is the thing that links to all the other servers which together compose the big whole federated feed which Mastodon apparently is a subset of.
