Remember when George W Bush passed a law that made all Diesel engines built to run exclusively on diesel?

submitted by GeneralDisarray to TheGreatAwakening 1.5 yearsNov 1, 2022 18:56:11 ago (+13/-0)     (TheGreatAwakening)

Well now we are running out of diesel when we could have supplemented with vegetable oil!

Older engines can burn vegetable oil and still produce 90% power. But now we have shit that will break if you put vegetable oil in your tank. Plus the bullshit exhaust fluid that is needed in modern engines.

These sick fucks have done everything possible to make our supply chains vulnerable.

Old diesel cars and trucks pre 2000 will be going up in price soon.

I would recommend an 80's Mercedes 300 W123 if you can find one in good condition. It will be a great investment.

What other vehicles are a good bet for these trying times goats?

Upvoated, unsure of any diesel cars that will do the trick you want. I get 64 MPG plus in my gas car, bro gets the equiv of 200mpg in his EV. My 11.4 gallon tank has a range of over 700 miles. I have gas stashed in multiple locations in Nato jerry cans. I can get anywhere I want to go, but still that pales in significance to anyone who has a sailboat on any ocean moorage.

Innovation baby, the shit noted in the links below worked over 80 years back, will work now. We (the US) have craploads of wood. Make ithappen.

Volvo 760 gel would probably be a good choice too.

Thanks fren.

Vw beetle can run on wood with some basic modification.

Ah, the wood gasifier...

[ - ] i_scream_trucks 0 points 1.5 yearsNov 1, 2022 21:47:52 ago (+0/-0)

most cars can run on wood smoke, as can most diesel generators.

'gasifier'

The W123 was a superb chassis. A friend of mine has a stickshift 300cd, 1980 I think. Such a fun car, but mine is funner. But mine doesn't run on diesel.

What other vehicles are a good bet for these trying times? Perhaps something like this. Or perhaps this

Forget the cost of fuel; how about ammunition?! And imagine the insurance premium...

[ - ] lord_nougat 1 point 1.5 yearsNov 1, 2022 23:03:05 ago (+1/-0)

Yeah, these would mostly only be fun if you had the cheat codes to this shitty game.

And one day, for no reason at all, Los Angeles was free of niggers and jews.

You've got that right!

If you have ammo, you can GET fuel. That seems to be the equation a lot of people don't understand.

Ammo = Food. Ammo = Clothing, gas, slaves. Ammo, with enough time to set up an ambush can even equal more ammo.

Now THAT is forward thinking!

I restored 3 old Mercedes diesels for rich old men. Maybe they knew something 🤔.

[ - ] GeneralDisarray [op] 0 points 1.5 yearsNov 2, 2022 11:43:06 ago (+0/-0)

I bet they did.

The W123 is considered the most bullit proof Mercedes ever made.

did a little research into diesel/biodiesel for this exact reason when I was considering an old truck because I wanted the option to switch between the 2. What I read in One thread is that you just need to swap out the gaskets that come in contact with the fuel since the biodiesel will corrode them faster. Idk if it’s true but sounds like most Diesel engines can swap the fuels if you have the right gaskets where they count.

Also read that home heating oil is similar to diesel.

All you need is aluminum and a 6 axis cnc. The CNC machine to make a billet block is only about a $200k. If you know what you're doing, people will gladly pay you 10-15k per block. You could recoup your investment in about half a year with the proper turn around.

They make billet Honda blocks for $8k. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0036/6922/9641/products/billet-k-series-block-7_800x.jpg?v=1564085418
