The Septuagint
Christendom is founded on the Septuagint LXX: ‘the earliest translation of the Hebrew Scriptures into Greek. How reliable is that as the primary source?
What about the Dead Sea Scrolls? How do the Dead Sea Scrolls relate to the Judeo / Roman bible. Why are these books not included?
Surely we all need to know the answer to these fundamental questions !!!

Given your interest, I would appreciate a critique of this if you have time.

Israel was already long gone by the time the Greeks took over the land. The Northern kingdom of Israel was removed in the 8th century BC, and its lands resettled, and the Southern Kingdom was exiled in Babylon in the 6th century BC. Jerusalem was utterly destroyed, the temple treasures were removed to Babylon, and the land was resettled. By the time a small remnant of the Babylonian Jews returned they had lost much of their language and culture, and had begun mixing with other tribes. The continuing waves of conquests by the various Greek kingdoms, and the overtaking of the remnant of the Israelites by various tribes left little for the Romans to bury in the succeeding centuries BC and AD.
The final burning of the remaining libraries and successive waves of conquest and resettlement have continued through the muslim era to the present day.
There are archaeological remains of the Israelite kingdom on the records if you are prepared to search for them, but the efforts to cover them up and impose the greco-roman/babylonian narrative continue unabated.

Thank you.

My apologies that I don't have bandwidth to assimilate such a complex history myself at the moment. The view from a specialist is deeply appreciated.

Well? What are the answers. I don't have 2 hours to listening to another podcast.

Sorry but it would take me closer to 20 hours to put together a decent synopsis of what is presented here. For what it’s worth I can highly recommend watching it if you have any interest in scripture.
