Heard an episode of “Prussian Socialism” today that theorized the ((Hyksos)) were performing mass execution Passover rituals on the Egyptians and that’s how the Jews got booted out, and how they somehow ended up with all the wealth the emperor decided to go after them for. . Haven’t looked in to this at all but it was a take I haven’t heard before. And the guys doing the episode are fairly serious historians.

I think its possible they picked up people in Egypt. They change the name of their god from El to Yahweh at that time. (Or maybe Set to Yahweh). Yahweh is the god their Arab neighbors the Midianites worship.

That sounds right. My belief is that their “differentness” comes from the fact that the founding population were priests. Like any other group, if they intermarry enough and are successful at what they do, they will become more efficient within their niche. So I believe these people live off of ideology and controlling the masses psychologically— as they always have done. In fact, I believe (hold on to your hats christians) that monotheism was their powerplay to monopolize the religion racket. Therefore I think whatever tradition they are born into, they will gravitate toward the role of a priest and religious fanatic. They love religion like a farmer loves a fertile field— it’s their source of food. So not only would they be good catholic priests, but they would be the most zealous catholic priests of the lot. Its ironic but many political conflicts pit jews against jews and many gentile conflicts seem to be lead by warring jewish factions.
