However, he’s a huge idiot. As a full-time student, he’s overworking himself. Not saying nobody could do what he’s doing, but it is a lot of stress to be a full time student and work AND work full time on the weekends. That’s the key.

When I was a full time student, I worked, but I didn’t push myself so hard that I didn’t at least have I’ve full day off.

A big problem these days is that people are working themselves too hard and that’s driving expectations too high. It’s a shitty self-powering cycle.

So ya this kid is a poof and should toughen up for the situation he put himself in, but he should also be more realistic about what he can actually handle.

You're not completely wrong but you work your ass off and have no money when you're young not just so you have money when you're older but so you know how shitty some jobs are and bust your ass not to have to go back to them. When I was in my early twenties I was broke as fuck and living pretty hard, sometimes taking food from the donation bins just to eat. I also worked as a dishwasher which is one of the worst fucking jobs you can have. Other than that job I was happy though. I later worked in an office that had every level of office bullshit you can imagine and I'm not going back to that either.

Life's not supposed to always be easy. You have to tough it out.

I skipped school to go see Rambo2. Opening scene he’s jacked, and breaking boulders with a hammer in prison. That summer I scanned the classifieds looking for a rock quarry job, and found one. Got the job, everyone else there was Mexican. I chopped limestone with a pickax in the Texas summer sun, in a blindingly white bowl quarry that amplified the heat. I got into shape and enjoyed the work. It’s very satisfying to see all your rock pallets at the end of the day.

15 years old, I was allowed to work up to 38 hours a week with no limitations on the weekends.

I DID THAT. By 16 I was almost entirely independent of my parents financially with the exception of a roof over my head and an occasional meal. Me being independent showed them that I could and allowed for more independence.

To this day they don't worry, all while their friends kids constantly fuck up, getting divorced, losing their homes, going bankrupt and going to prison. They just say to them, "yeah, we don't have those problems with our little nazi".
