Some people think that Voat/Talk/etc/ are meaningless compared to the Facebooks/Twitters of the world, and especially reddit. They think this because they see this game we play as a numbers game, and, obviously, our numbers here are tiny compared to the mainstream internet, but this is the incorrect way to think about it.

We influence the influencers.

Think about that. As a thought experiment, imagine Voat had only 20 users, 10 posters and 10 lurkers. But imagine the 10 lurkers each have a podcast with 10,000 subscribers. That would mean that the 10 posters on Voat actually have influence over 100,000 people, and however many people those people have influence over. That's our strength.

Keep in mind that most of the mainstream internet we're comparing ourselves to is probably majority bot accounts and our influence only increases.

I've observed over the years that any forum type site is great until it reaches a certain high number of users and then it gets retarded. We'll call this the "Full Retard Threshold". It's when a group goes from niggerfaggot to normie and it happens a lot. Our powerful immune system has kept this place from reaching Full Retard. We've remained the few, the proud, the niggerfaggots, and we're force multipliers.

This isn't a "pat ourselves on the back" post, it's a post to remind us why the work we do here isn't just pointless, it's really really important.

It doesn't happen overnight, and, in fact, it takes weeks and sometimes months, but I've witnessed time and time again how narratives on Voat, become alt-right podcasts narratives, then non-mainstream "conservative" stories, and then you start to notice that more and more comment sections are becoming increasingly fucking based.

Of course, this will never be presented to us as what's happening. The beast system will never allow it to look like it. The revolution will not be televised. This is their whole ball game. It's the very nature of what they do. They present a false reality that they want to be to humanity and we're either dupes or we're not.

So that's the long way of saying stay energized and keep at it. We're having a tremendous influence on reality. In fact, now it's time to crank our efforts up to 11.
