I didn't know the national Forest, but the rest of that is irrelevant. When one of us shoots a coyote around here, it could be 2 years old or 2 weeks old. Posing a threat to me isn't even part of the equation. Had it been a poodle, I would agree that she must be retarded.

We don't have wolves, only coyotes. Usually shooting a coyote is reactionary to seeing one fucking around and finding out on your property.

Very recently, three mangy tan coyotes showed up to my duck pen. Right as I was dropping the first one, I realized they were some sort of German Shepherd mutt mix. They look like coyotes and almost died for it. I've since found the neighbor a couple miles away and let him know what almost happened.

If you own a dog that looks like a predator, I know all dogs are predators but you know what I mean, you run the risk of it getting shot out in the wilderness or on someone else's farm.
