You have to remember that huge numbers of people were actually evacuated from the buildings after the first building was hit. And because the first building was hit near the top floors it was only some people in the top floors that were trapped and could not leave the building. Almost everybody else was able to get out.

I estimate that the 2996 figure is less than 10% of the actual fatalities that day. I predict that more than 30,000 people died in those towers and surrounding areas. I honestly believe that 30,000 could be a low figure too, and it could be as high as 80,000. Scored.co.
