If I come down with a terminal sickness I might visit south Africa move to the most dangerous farm in the nation and become fulltime security for room and board and the hope of some woman having my kids. Will farm and build as well.

Even if his kids were born with a pathogen that causes cancer, having kids gives your bloodline a chance to survive. These pathogens that cause cancer tend to be slow moving; so it might not cause any issues for a few decades. There's also a solid chance that the immune system can keep it in check.

40 years ago, living in a ultra-safe rural neighborhood, my dad used to go around the house every night just before he went to bed. Every door was checked and locked every window was closed. The barn, shed and garage were all secured.

When I was 20 I thought he was paranoid. Now I realize he was just a visionary that was way ahead of his time.
