A few months back, a friend and I went to Fort Carson to just check things out. I hadn't been back since I got out in Nov '04. As we drove down the banana belt, we noticed there wasn't a single combat vehicle. We were fucking shocked.
Got home, looked it up. 4th ID was in Poland for some "rotation" deployment.
Sounded like BS to me, like they were ramping up military presence in advance of war.
They did the same thing before OIF. I remember because I saw the build up when I was in Kuwait in Dec '01.

If you wait too long for Ukraine to be stuffed with all this stuff then he has to basically destroy the country to save Russia and he really doesn't want to destroy the country. So he almost has to prevent it from being stuffed with all this stuff. He's already been forced to take out infrastructure and things like that in the last two weeks which he really didn't want to do. He really just wanted to seize the eastern border as had been agreed with Ukraine after a vote over 10 years ago and have the rest of you crying remain neutral. Instead he's been forced into now starting to take out infrastructure within Ukraine to try to disable the ability of the population there to support the war.
They have been there since AT LEAST October, 2021.
Friends son has some cool pics of Vlad the Impaler's castle he took while deployed in both Bulgaria and Romania. He ran into some 101s while in Bulgaria, before his unit moved up to Romania.
Since Romania and Bulgaria joined NATO, we have been performing training exercises and joint exercises with these Eastern European countries.
Wow, all Putin has to do is not invade Ukraine. Send his boys back home alive. Welp, at least there will be a glut of single Russian women for Europe and America to snack on in the near future. 🤷♂️
Didn't it start when Russia promised in the 90s to never invade Ukraine in exchange for the remaining USSR nukes, and then Russia later invaded because slavic words are worth shit?
