I know people who use tiktok, it represents the technically illiterate class. There's a constant lie that the youth takes the torch of technology and takes it to the next level. The youth don't understand shit about technology. Youtube was king for so many years because there were enough literates who owned a PC, could operate a video camera, do their own editing and post it on their own account.
Tiktok only does well because it gives video creation to the illiterates, and it just so happens that the same class of people who make up the illiterates are also the twerkers and monkey dancers. Monkey see, monkey do. They think trends are something you imitate, not something you create yourself. So all day long they copy other people using the spy camera from their phone.
