In my youth, I could smell cancer on people's breathe. That began when I was living a fruititarian lifestyle in San Diego but it persisted for a decade. Even got to diagnose my mother when I got back to New Orleans.

Long ago.

I have this deal too. I'll give you my best story. This girl started working in our office. I was a dock worker . She had a window toward the dock, one of those sliders 2ft by 3 ft. For two months going to that window I could smell her snatch. Finally after knowing her that amount of time i got the balls to tell her she should wear underwear as that pleasant odor was waftin out the slider. She looked at me puzzled and said how did you know . Super smeller. Fortunately she was a good sport. And laughed about it. It helped a little. Heightened smell power can suck to of course .

Very interesting. I don't have a super nose like this lady but I've been able to smell kidney and liver failure of some of my dogs as they got older. It's a really particular smell and a very early sign that something isn't right.

Pretty fascinating shit. Parkinson has taken out some people close to me, and it scares the shit out of me that I might get it some day.

Always had a theory similar to this. Mostly a specific semi nauseous "detergent" smell from old people.
Even have a gut wrenching reaction to it. A physical psychic red light going off and wonder if indeed they are sick.
