They have some lovely rice dishes . I like samosas, I like naan. I like that yogurty mango drink. Sometimes you order a meal and it feels like they brought nothing but bowls of sauce to the table. But I dont hate it. It just depends on the dish. Kind of runny as a cuisine.

I make a wicked palak paneer and bengan bharta. A lot of indian food is the bomb.
It sucked that all the buffets shut down due to Covid. The buffet is a great way to try different dishes to see what you like and don’t.

Agreed. Indian food is fucking delicious, but I don't eat it anymore (outside of Trader Joe's) because they wipe their asses with their hands and don't wash after.

That's the trick to it all. If you cook it yourself you can use proper meats and other ingredients, which lets you cut back to a more normal amount of spices and use better cooking methods. Gentrifying their food to make it actually good.

I buy trader Joe's tikimasala, butter chicken, and vindaloo all the time. Those things are good.
