At my guess work, with everything I've seen and read about the war conditions in Ukraine, and societal conditions in the west, along with what I'm living here in Oregon, Ukraine needed to retake over three quarters of its lost territory before winter, to just not lose this winter. Likewise, it needed to fully retake its lost territory, before winter, to stand a chance at being in the same position they are currently in.
