I've thankfully never considered using a dating app. I really can't imagine what people are going through. I've been with my wife for over a decade, shit was different. They were actually really good in the early 2000s when there was still a stigma attached. Most of the women were the kind who weren't interested in the hookup culture of bars, so they were either very responsible (often lawyers or nurses), tomboyish or introverts.

The real shame is that when tinder came out and the whores took over these women no longer had a viable place to find a man.
