Edit: This is client to client. There is no internet/wifi/bluetooth/IRD/cell/mobile technology on the chipsets used on this device - they are not physically present.
You're correct, it is just radio. However, the lorawan networks require an internet connection, so it just depends on how you set it up and how far away the data is from the server:
- If you setup your own lora gateway, then you can skip the internet and just connect your database/server to the gateway. - If you are depending on a gateway setup by someone else, you will either need to use the internet to connect to your data/sensor or get your data to hop from one lora gateway to the next until it reaches your lora gateway.
