I don't think you're completely wrong but war propaganda just follows the times. This particular piece of propaganda appeals to a wide audience currently because people have been conditioned to be sensitive to sexual violence. In reality, the military puts additives in your food that deters libido. The US definitely does it during basic training and they do it on particular deployments. In WWII they put salt peter in the soldiers' food but nowadays the technology has led to other additives. I imagine other countries do the same thing because it is a disciplinary tactic.
