The grocery store self-checkout machines are starting to feel like like video poker, pachinko, etc.

4 different screens, flashing lights and bells when the receipt prints out. I won some milk today. I gambled about 3.50 a gallon. Or bought it, I'm not quite sure.

My dad was stationed in post-war Japan and brought back all sorts of things including two Pachinko Machines and allowed us kids to play with them. These early machines made bell sounds but were pre-electric unlike the monsters of today.
