Someone got smart and made the votify app which allows you to take a photo and upload it for analysis to vote monitoring people who then distribute the information to other vote monitors physically in the area of the activity happening so they can also observe it. This is frankly pretty damn smart.

You are not allowed to take pictures of your voting card or voting screens. Secret ballots are an essential part of a free and fair election.

Party affiliation is already public info. I can't vote in primaries in my state because I refuse to list a party, because it's public.

Party affiliation in SOME states can be known. But in. This states, you can only vote in the primaries of your registration, but who you voted for in that primary is unknown, and who you vote for in the general election is unknown. This is for good reason. Your entire life might depend on certain people in your life not knowing that you voted for the other guy.

Get this shit straight, if you do away with secret ballots, you will never, ever have another free or fair election, or the hope of a free and fair election ever again.

The only way to have a free and fair election is hand counted and secret paper ballots, cast at your precinct, counted at your precinct, in full public view, with cameras lives streaming the count in real time.

The whole fucking point of getting rid of the secret ballot is so that they can pretend to have a free and fair election using electronic voting systems. Their goal is to get electronic voting systems put in place. Once they do that, there will never be any hope of a free and fair election ever again.

Secret ballots are not unjust. The laws against making votes publicly knowable are not unjust. And these laws were put in place as a result of the actual unjust happenings in our past.

If your boss, union leadership, landlord, or whomever can know who you actually voted for, you being victimized for it will be the result.
