Yeah, I feel like shit whenever I have to use any of their crap, too. But they're better than google now, for whatever that's worth. Or similar to google, I guess... better seems to preposterous to claim, like comparing the merits of one turd against another.
Sounds like motion sickness. VR headsets will do that to most people, when the motion they are showing doesn't match the motion your inner ear is sensing. Feels a bit like falling without falling, if that makes sense.
Looks like those things have cameras at the top, which presumably then display an "augmented" image to the visor below. Well, that would be like transplanting your eyes to the very top of your forehead. Every time you move your head, you'd get that nauseating feeling because the motion isn't quite right.
samsung vr was ok on its own but there werent a lot of titles.
hooking it into a pc that will run a game you want, then fucking with vorpx or riftcat was about to make oculus and vive pretty much obsolete. assetto corsa with a galaxy.... s9 i think it was and a 5 year old msi laptop was epic and saved a redonculous amout of money on a full gaming rig plus the cost of a vr setup.
then they pulled it and i cant even get it running on my old phones :( shit was cheap enough that spending the $150 on the headset was the only actual expense and enough to work out vr rigs really aint fucking worth the expense.... yet
yeah thats not really limited to hololens. any vr stuff will do it, some people get queasy as fuck easier than others and some software can get pretty bad.
flight and racing sims i dont have a problem with, but a couple of the 3d floaty around space type games set me off. i was fine with fallout for a couple of hours but its not all that immersive unless youve got proper vr controllers and even then the movement still feels fake.
