Universal Pictures booked “Bros” onto 3,350 screens and spent an estimated $30 million to $40 million to promote it. “Bros,” starring Luke Macfarlane and Billy Eichner, who also co-wrote the script, cost roughly $22 million to make. It received mostly positive reviews. Going into the weekend, stars like Chris Evans, Seth Rogen and Mariah Carey pleaded with people on Twitter to buy tickets for “Bros.” It featured an all-L.G.B.T.Q. principal cast. There is the possibility that studios, in their risk-averse way, will now point to the disappointing results for “Bros” as justification for passing on other theatrical films with L.G.B.T.Q. relationships in the forefront.
They can spend as many millions as they like and get every vacuous celebrity to promote this trash, but straight people are not interested. Why would we be? The appeal of the LGBTQ+ is grossly (pun intended) overstated.
And, of course, homophobia cannot be ruled out

It's almost hard to believe they could be so goddamn clueless? Aside from the fact that what straight person wants to go see a gay romantic comedy, is it really the best time too release a romantic comedy when gas is $5+ a gallon, you can't find food and if you can, can't afford to buy it and they want us to drop how much for a ticket to watch dudes making out? At least with the other movie I can watch people die and pretend it's Biden or Piglosi. But let's release a movie that cost 22 million to make and hope the 95-99% of people who could care less will want to waste money on it!
