I came home from work once to find my backyard gate open. I panicked and ran back there, I found a screwdriver sticking out of a window, a puddle of blood and a blood trail leading out my backyard gate. I panicked even more “where’s my baby!” I found her sleeping in the backyard with a bloody muzzle. She was okay. I got a free screwdriver and someone out there got some quality time with my Rottweiler. She’s very friendly.
(This happened a long time ago, and she’s gone to doggy heaven, a good doggy!)

I’ve never heard of it, and saw no trace of uncontrolled aggression in my Rottie. But I fully trained her. An untrained Rottie (like all dogs) can be a problem. An abused/neglected dog can be dangerous no matter the breed.
Nah, most dogs don't have that problem, Roths are ok if the owner is ok. Pitbuls just have something in their brain that can make them go crazy and are not to be trusted with children. This problem is compounded by the fact that most pitbull owners are niggers and wannabes that think they are gangsters.
Pitbulls weren't bred to be pets. They were meant to perform in gambling events chasing down rabbits and other prey. That and dog fighting. They were never meant to be pets.
My newest puppy is a German Shepard (my first one.) She has a very strong prey instinct. Anything small and fast and it’s game on! I made a mistake, my wife has a little yapper (Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix) it’s been trouble from day one. My bad but my Shephard doesn’t want to hurt her, just play. However, when you’re all but 10 pounds wet and a 65 pound puppy is coming at you, well it’s not pleasant. I’m working on it.
You have to be strict. Never hit them with you hands but a gentle tap with a rolled up news paper in the nose will bread out any issue. Or just give the pomeranian time, I'm sure they will be friends soon. German Sheppards are very intelligent.
Remember you have a Sheppard dog. They were made to protect sheep. They have to kill wolves. But the sheep, they are never in danger. It's just young. Once he sees the other dog as familly he will protect it.
Good advice. A few times during the day my Shepard explodes with energy. I call it zoom-zoom time (a friend invented that phrase about his dog.) I take her outside and throw her ball until she is exhausted. In between, her and my wife’s yapper get along just fine.
I have a Jack Russell. He's almost 16 now, still strong. Jumps, runs, chases little critters. You have no idea how much energy he had when he was young, I'm actually thankful he has slowed down with age. So I totally understand your problem. You just need to be patient, they will grow up of that stage and Sheppard dogs are actually the best to protect your family, including the small dog. It's just baked into their DNA.
I suppose anything can happen, but there's a dog attack infographic that has been posted here several times. It shows pits kill 10x more people than rottys. (44 vs 4xx people since 2017, I think). They're not even close. You're more likely to trip over one in the dark and hurt yourself.
Source: pack owner, breeder, and nighttime tripper-over of German rots. There's a 150lb male in bed with 2 little boys right now.
Nowadays, they'd probably try to have it put down.
We have several. In 2020, my wife locked herself out of the house. I was out of state working, so I called an old man neighbor to bring a ladder to help her out. Told him "absolutely do not go in the upstairs window; let mrs. ruck do it." He was old enough she wouldn't let him do it, thank fuck. There would have been a mess and she still would have been locked out.

Now, I'm sure there are good ones and an adult with a strong hand can have a wonderful companion, I would just never leave a baby with them.
Same reason I can't trust my Jack Russell not to try to kill a squirrel and specially not a fox. They are bred hunters.

There are no bad dogs, only bad owners.
