They know how to talk. Never earnestly, always in service to the cause they had set themselves to.

Conservatives and the rest of the right need to learn this, always say what benefits the cause you support, but frame it as being a universally-applicable principled stance rather than just stance that most favors whatever position benefits your cause regarding this specific issue.

You can switch up philosophies and ideals as events unfold in order to suit whatever situation you are in.

For example, if the majority could be said to benefit from the oppression of your enemies, you stand for the good of the many.

But if the oppression of your allies is in the common interest, then you care about the rights of the individual.

All that matters is what you ultimately want to achieve, then you just adopt whatever moral perspective is best for the current situation, and change positions as the winds of favor demand.
