Has nothing to do with woke shit. Cloud gaming sucks because of latency. Latency introduced before the frames reach your screen and again after with your control input to the server. I remember when nerds bought TN panels because they had lower latency than IPS.

Actually as a strategy game player, perhaps cloud gaming would work for me. I've never really tried it.

funny. It is sad that strategy games require unobtainium CPUs in order to function. My gaming laptop, which is how I like to manage my gaming so that I can take it on the road with me (a problem which cloud gaming does not actually fix because I am often in places with shitty WiFi or only 4G), has a Core i7-11-something, which you would think would be sufficient to simulate a glorified version of chess. But no. Somehow Unity manages to load 8 cores to the point of exceeding the Thermal Design Power of the laptop which is something like 45 watts for the CPU alone.

That's actually one of the only good use cases I can think of. Worth your money, not for anyone playing an FPS or other quick reaction game.
