I despise anyone who tells me to "watch until the end"

For cats it's all about the stalking. They're not interested if the stocking isn't involved. They don't actually want what they're chasing. They just want to Chase it. That's why you never ever run from a wild cougar or a lion. In fact if you face them or even approach them they'll often turn and leave.

For cats unless they're exceptionally hungry eating what they catch is really just sort of an afterthought. They'll catch something when they don't want to eat it.
