I've always thought that inebriants would be one of the very last things they would deny the people, seeing as how they wouldn't need to pacify anyone once the system of total control was in place -- plus it makes a slave labor force less productive.
This must mean we're pretty far along in their plan.

So, let me get this straight. The brew that turned man from hunter gatherers to an agricultural society to make beer. Now, suddenly it’s too expensive to make beer? I’m laughing out loud. Beer happens, it’s natural. Fuck the UK.
