The physical dollar bill in your wallet has no real value. Before it loses all its imaginary value, acquire tangible assets like real estate (that you don’t owe imaginary money to a bank.) Buy valuable minerals and metals. Not gold, buy silver, anything that has manufacturing value, not a pretty trinket/bauble value. Avoid collectibles, when people go hungry collectibles have zero value. Collect things that if people can buy it and feed their family or keep them safe, it has value. Hard times are coming, I’m looking at you Europe!

I own a few cars outright, I even have a MSO for one of them.

Platinum to make a comeback? All those stolen catalytic converters have to wind up in some rapper's jewelry.

In a hard world, the first thing out the window is green things, emissions, pollution control, clean energy, screw that! I want to keep my family warm and fed, screw the environment! Staying alive, ah ah ah!

Did you know that total governmental debt to gdp ratio is one of the best predictors of reproductive rate.

Japan is as bad as it can get.

It is impossible to pay off that debt.
Even if they liquidated all Americans' bank accounts, seized their property and sold it, then sold off all government-owned property, it still wouldn't be enough to settle the debt.
Besides, who would there be to buy it all?
Maybe Blackrock, but then who would they sell or rent to?
They'd be sitting on a lot of assets that can't be moved or leveraged.

It should be obvious at this point that the us never was required to pay its debt.
