Costo looses money on every pizza, hotdog, and rotisserie chicken they sell. These are marketing tactics to get people in the store. It is cheaper to buy a cooked ready to eat Costco rotisserie chicken than it is to buy a hole raw chicken.
But who needs 30 chickens at the same time? I guarantee that that chicken meat is going into burritos and will be sold for a huge profit out of a food truck.
