I work with a nigger "lead programmer" in a top State position. Initially I thought highly of this negress (yea, a woman at that) because of her knowledge of the field. However, we're expanding our capability, and the main thing I notice in every meeting with this negress is how much we can't do. Every fucking meeting it's like "well that probably won't happen so we shouldn't program for it" or "that's not something we can handle" while the entire time I (a very junior member of the team) am thinking "I mean... it's not that much logic to put these contingencies in."
Now I know I'm young and naive to the entire workflow, but these are relatively-simple things. Literally conditional statements. And the negress is vehemently opposed to them because... too much logic? Too much work? Idk... all I know is I used to respect this negress for her knowledge and experience until I began meeting with her regularly and realized that she's just the same ol' lazy niggger I've seen everywhere else, except she somehow AA'd herself into her current role. She is adept at using a denigrating tone against anyone who suggests that she might do some work to make this thing work.
And I'm in a very Red state. It explains completely the things that are happening in blue/purple states.
\Random update 231102
In these development meetings, a White guy and the lead developer were talking, and the White guy popped in and said "Why is there an 'else' for this conditional that should always be true?" To which the developer replied, "Oh idk, I just feel like I need to have code in place to catch things... but yea, that probably doesn't need to be there." To which the White guy replied "Well, you're thinking like a developer."
Contrast that with the negress's answer a year ago, who said "Well I've never seen that happen, so we don't need to account for it." So it is* a possibility, but since she, in her infinite nigger wisdom, has never seen it, then it won't happen. Not even getting into the co-negress that fucking misread specs, and when I catch it and say it should be corrected, I get: "Oh, that's an 'enhancement' and we can't prioritize that right now."
If I bought a car that I'd spec'd out with a supercharger, and it was delivered without one, in what world would it be an "enhancement" to get what I ordered?
You got two choices. If you can do what she says can't be done. Tell them you can do it and will do it yourself. Don't even let her know you've done it just go over her head. They won't give a shit how junior you are.
Option 2 and the one most people would do. Is become bitter and jealous of her and use it as an excuse to do as little work as possible.
Whatever you do don't trust her and help her out as little as possible. I've known people like her. They'll start a project get half way through, and have it so fucked up it will be faster to start from scratch than to try to fix what theyve done.
Well,I wouldn't go putting tons of extensions in for stuff you're not really going to be using. Unless you can organize them for easy removal. Cause spaghetti code is a thing that happens. Best to just stick to what you know you're going to be using.
It was a plausible scenario the Jr. programmer was presenting, and she said, essentially, "I've never seen that, so we shouldn't worry about it." So when it does eventually happen, we won't be ready for it, and we'll put a fix in place that will take the average 3-4 years to get implemented when we could have just added a few extra lines of code for that case.
Best thing you can do is drag your heels and help them grind to a halt
I work in a safety sector of government (not OSHA) that is actually pretty integral to the daily workings of life - it's about the only thing government I appreciate because it's what government should do. And, for the most part, we run our asses off for the tax-payer - who we call "customers." Not much I know, but it's an environmental thing that reminds us they're paying us for service, so we tend to serve.
That said, the red tape and bureaucracy makes service grossly inefficient, but I notice that happen with many large org's.
In 30 years, I’ve never worked with a female or a black cartoon animator. They don’t have the focus to do the work. It’s all white males. You would think working with animators would be fun, but they’re all introverted scientists.
That line of work satisfies me because machines don't bitch, cry, and whine like people do. Also commercial clients just want shit done and done right so the machines can get back to work without any bullshit
I'm sure there must be some magic niggers out there but in my long experience they are always the worse when it comes to performance and competence. Me drunk can work better than your average nigger. The only reason they get hired and promoted is diversity quotas.
It's government so they will be kept on. I agree about finding a different job, though. There seems to be only upside, from a career/pay perspective, for finding a different job every year or so. Working in a place a long time gets you respect, and your job gets easier in a way. But even the best places don't seem to reward it with pay, unless you feel like getting out of programming into a more political role.
Eh, maybe? I have worked in a technical capacity in a number of large companies and some startups too. I'm based af, but i have seen lots of people do that type of thing over the years. In fact, I should punt work more frequently myself. Sometimes it is easier to just say no up front rather than add to the technical debt and programming. And, at big companies, sometimes the best action is to stay in your own lane. If there is a need, someone will ask.
You might even ask her- "I know you mentioned that that was too much to take on, it seems like a relatively add to me, what am I missing?"
If it really is about workload, use that time to improve your skills and enjoy the easy workload. Don't worry about her business.
Good luck. Focus on yourself and learn as much as you can, even if your teacher is an idiot.
Keep a record of everything. I'm in tech and have been lucky to avoid working with a lot of niggers but I've worked with too many women to know they will claim your work and make up shit constantly. When it's he said she said she always wins so keep evidence.
That is the one good thing about our meetings is that they are recorded. However the question of "who will review the records?" is up in the air. But when the shit doesn't work, do you honestly think they'll blame the negress when they discover her to be the result of the system failure? Personally, I have my doubts.
Go around her. Write the program the customer needs and don't include her in the project. Post results. I have a mindset about programming that there is nothing impossible to write, just needs time/money/teams to complete.
I don't have the permissions to write the shit that needs written, but honestly much of it that she's resisting is very basic stuff. "Why would I write rules for something I probably won't see?" <-- her words. "Take off your programmer hat put on your administrator hat" <-- her excuse for being lazy.
I once worked for a company doing mediocre typing work (putting tags in text documents). I ended up writing macro after macro in order to do the work faster and faster. I shared the macros with coworkers as well. I didn't ask nor did I have permission. My boss got a bit pissed off one day partly because of it. Regardless, this spread out into quadrupling (probably more) the amount of work the company could do. When I started the fastest person could do maybe 10 documents a day, avg. When I left a few years later it was 50+. They were impressed that they offered me several positions within the company, my choice. Kinda wish I could go back to them but I don't live near there anymore.
I've looked into this before, and it is 100% not a real quote. However what he did say was sort of in the same vein. Still, people from our side should really stop using that fake and gay quote. There are plenty of other quotes to share that are from highly intelligent men that say pretty much the same thing.

What's really fun is using VBScript to open an Excel workbook to run a macro. That way you can automate it with Windows Task Scheduler.
Of course there are less-clunky ways to do these sorts of things, but that involves working through the infinitely-more-clunky bureaucracy.

Even if the quote were not legitimate, I would not dispute the wisdom inherent in the statement.
