Samsung internet

I haven't used my new Samsung for internet, yet, but I suppose it helps to keep informed of these sort of things should the situation ever arise.
Were you using Samsung Internet as your browser or was it interfering with a different browser you were using?

No I wasn't but you can't actually delete the app from the phone, only disable it. When I checked Samsing Internet app I deleted all data and made sure it had no permissions and didn't use any background data or battery... then catbox worked again.

There are third party apps to actually block the factory apps. I used to use those but I don't anymore.

That may explain why my internet was wonky the few times I was tethering the phone.
I'll try doing as you explained and disable that app.
