Most of my clients are over 60. My morning appointment yesterday died in the parking lot of the marina. Today the paramedics pulled the lady out of the condo next to me. My afternoon appointment for today has already cancelled.

At one time trout fishing was everything to me, growing up in an area with streams and lakes teaming with speckled trout kept me out of trouble as a kid in fact the Beatles put out à tune about trout fishing...it was called "TWIST & TROUT".

I have much more fun fishing for bass. It requires less patience to get them to hook up and its a much more interesting fight to get them into the boat. Taste better too. Maybe I am just doing trout fishing wrong

Catfish flayed and skinned and seasoned with garlic powder and barbecue Spice then fried in coconut oil...it has to be coconut oil...the best eating size for catfish is 1/2 - 1 lb

Love it but don't wanna clean the fish. Gar back steaks are good. Used to hang out in the fish market with owner's daughter. Niggers came in for the catfish and gar "balls" and gar back steaks. Fried catfish with field peas, chunks of raw onion and hotwater corn bread great meal the nigger fish monger cooked it up. Had a huge ceiling hook out back where he hung up the big cats

Noodling underneath a river bank for steelhead trout one time and I grabbed a beaver by the tail and all hell broke loose, I knew immediately that I grabbed something that wasn't a trout and I recoiled out of that stream so fast that I don't even remember splashing upon exit. As for bass fishing, we had a half dozen lakes that we'd fish for smallmouth, 5-6lbs, and we'd use a Mepps squirrel tail, couldn't keep them off the hook but the meat was filled with worms, as were jumbo perch... FYI...the little black dots that you see in the meat are worms.
Lake trout, speckled trout, rainbow/steelhead trout and splake are our preferred catch here.

To me the Best way to have trout is also very simple.
My good ol'grampa and I used to catch a load of trout and cook and eat them every chance we got.
Remove their heads, gut them, clean the blood line out of their spine. Then we would salt and pepper them, rub their outside and fill their inside with butter. And finally, squeeze a lemon all inside and out. We would then bake them for about 30 to 45 minutes in a 350* F oven.
Now I ate my trout like that for years. Then one day I was out of lemon. But I had a bag of oranges!
I will never go back to using lemon!

My old man just kept getting jabs behind my back after I explained the dangers over and over — initial 2 and then boooster. Why? Because all his boomer friends were getting them and he had to have one too. Thank god he’s been on IVM and a shit ton of supplements during that period, including some ones for heart health. Miraculously he has still had no covid (I credit the IVM and vitamin D greatly) and has had no real other health crisis.
