Remembering air travel in the early 70s

submitted by Laputois to PepperidgeFarmRemembers 1.7 yearsSep 13, 2022 20:27:11 ago (+17/-0)     (PepperidgeFarmRemembers)

Everyone dressed up, no shorts or tank tops, the minimum was dresses for the ladies and a sports jacket for men. Most wore suit and ties. 2 seats per aisle. Large comfortable seats, with ashtrays. Smoking was permitted after takeoff in the last 10 rows. No niggers or beaners. Not even stewardesses. They were white. A meal was served and it was above average fare. Might just be a sandwich and accoutrements, but freshly baked bread and fresh vegetables. Things used to be so good.

Flying up until about the mid-nineties was not aggravating. You got your boarding pass and got on the plane when your section was called. No niggers pawing through your bags, no niggers with attitude scrutinizing you.

I used to fly home often on Friday nights on a major airline and that last leg to my small burg was always cool. The airline employed hot young women as stewardesses and sometimes one of the few passengers left would produce some alcoholic beverage and there would be a partay. Lovely. Such pleasant memories.

I want us to get back to having a country of our own again, without the jews, niggers, illegal beaners and POC's.

I flew on the Hindenberg before the hostilities when it was filled with Helium, the liquor and women were cheap and plentiful and we had a wonderbar of a time, we dined on ortalans and baby seal.

I saw the concorde in person in 84.

What a sexy looking piece of aeronautical engineering.

Maybe we should work on charting private planes that allow smoking hot stewardess an open bar and gambling.

We should open a new airline that doesn't allow TSA and allows adults to be adults. Or we could just do my project: OpenAirShips.com

Flew first class to Hawaii in the 90s. Great meal and hot towel. Flew 1st class to Chicago the other day. Didn't even have free wifi and the food was as good as what you get from a gas station.

All airline food is prepared by niggers or some kind of nigger now .I wouldn't eat it anyway

It's all true, but it was really expensive compared to now. This works with everything. As long as something is expensive you don't have poor people participating in it. I've read recently that US theme parks are planning to increase the prices, so that the "poor people" aka niggers, can't visit in such high numbers, and the places become safer and cleaner.

tell that to niggers drinking courvoisier and eating lobster because they think it elevates them. Red Lobster is the place a nigger will carry his "date" with an unspoken contract to nail that nasty hole after dinner.

The reason was air travel was expensive. Regular people couldn't afford it. Compare a chartered large private jet vs a 70s airliner. No comparison other than price adjusted for inflation. I'd much rather fly today than back then.

I flew to Anchorage Alaska in 1984. Alaska airlines. Because Alaska is land locked by Canada and so far there was tremendous competition amongst the airlines. It was a redeye flight and I was in economy, no one setting even near me. Shortly after takeoff the stewardess placed an iced pail containing a magnum of champaign next to me, compliments of Alaska airlines. Young people just cannot fathom how different things were just 40 years ago.

You can thank DB Cooper for some of the first restrictive airline rules. Gotta admit though, I admire the bastard for getting away with it.

I think the latest on this story is that he died in the desert. And he only got like $200k.

And then capitalists wanted to make more money.

THE END

Hardly. You weren't even born then. Ask people who actually flew in the 70s, kike.

I can fly from Germany to Italy for 40 bucks. You couldn't do that in the 70s.

Business gets you a bigger seat and free alcohol. I mean it depends on the flight. But the rest of the hassles are there. It in no way makes flying like it used to be. Hell, the seats in coach used to be bigger, and people were smaller, so you had a better time in coach back then than you do in first today. Depending on the flight.
