Feminism got it's start alot earlier than you think. I remember reading Bram Stoker's Dracula and it's not a major element but there's one part where some woman complains about people who lack a modern mindset of respecting women's ideas.

I was over my friend and his wifes' house. We love playing board games. For whatever reason, the husband and wife were in a tizzy (I don't know.) The wife finally said, "Don't you start mansplaining to me."

Never heard this. surprised its still considered a respectable classic. I mean no one really talks about Great Expectations. I don't know why a less "toxic" book wouldn't have displaced it in the history of classic literature.

I've always thought this about books. They can take some books and edit them for modern standards but they are too lazy to do all of them and they don't read enough to know which books to censor.

and censoring some books (like 1984) is pointless because there's no book left so why even try.

Most of the famous writers lefties knew the truth about women and minorities. Hell, most people in history did. It's the present that's fucked, not the past.
