I’ve never been an extreme ride junkie, but before even being afraid to go on my first ride as a kid, I remember just being entirely unimpressed with the engineering of the buckles and holsters.
For anyone of any size.

The SantaCruz pier drop ride has the cheapest fucking shoulder holster of any ride ive been on.
Even a 6ft tall grown ass man has like 8” between your shoulders and the holster with nothing holding your legs down so you actually shift 8-10” in the seat lol
And a 1960s seat belt buckle holding it down with at least 6” of slack in the belt.

Those smaller parks and the travelling rides you see at fairs— they really make me nervous. And the whole affair is always operated by drug addicts and teenagers. No thanks.

If you think the rides at our parks and state fairs and shit won't end up like this you had better realize that we are slipping into a 3rd world status. You think with all the diversity hires they are going to be checking the shit correctly? Ask anyone who works at these places if they go on the rides.
