What explains the jump from "traveling so much" to "restless dissatisfaction" and "unhappiness"? You do understand that men are not women, right? We don't (as a rule) have the same needs as women, such as fixation on stability, security and routine. Many men are traveling salesmen, or truckers, and some are voluntary vagabonds. I never much liked traveling myself, even when I had to as a carny or biker, but I'm not the typical male.
