I have my own theory about why the universe is its current size. There's an interesting coincidence... Obviously, there's enough mass in the universe to form a black hole. Well, if you feed the estimated mass of the universe into the calculation for the Schwartzchild radius of a black hole, you're within an order of magnitude of the estimated radius of the universe.
