Ashley Marrero isn’t married and doesn’t have kids. And she has a message for women just like her: You can still have it all.

The 43-year-old feels a deep sense of satisfaction from her job as a sales representative for a maker of medical devices, which brings her into contact with patients. And she relishes all of the lifestyle and financial freedoms that come with being a single, child-free woman in a well-paying job. That includes an apartment in New York City, a new beach house on the Jersey Shore, and frequent travel for pleasure as well as work.

“I love my life and feel very fulfilled,” says Marrero, who froze her eggs in 2018 to keep her options open. “I love children, and I love all my friends’ children. But I don’t know if I would love my life with children.”

Sure thing! The ability to afford freezing your eggs so can make use of an "option" that you never will? Here you go. The stand-in satisfaction of caring for an individual who is dependent on you (or rather your selling of "life-saving" devices)? Absolutely.

She'll look back one day and regret all of her "empowerment" if she's somehow able to escape Industrial Society for long enough. In a few decades when she's in a care facility and gets visits from nobody, it just might set in...

I have observed this “trend” has crossed cultures and borders. I have been told by ugly curries and beans at work that divorce is higher than ever in their home (and future) country and birthrate is declining. Non white women are delaying marriage and children to “have it all”.
I, of course, always encourage this and tell them to encourage their community and be independent and childless. I also applaud faggotry in those countries.

There are several problems with women choosing not to have children:
a) They never actually admit it to their suitors while they're young, causing those men to waste their time.
b) They feel happy and fulfilled so long as the supply of sex or company is constant and this generally diminished with their age.
c) Their smug satisfaction with life is also dependent on them having a job where the income is high, which is not the case for all women.
d) Women don't realize that having children and enjoying the presence of children are not the same thing. You're not expected to love someone else's children the way you would your own and not liking others' doesn't mean you wouldn't enjoy your own.

Anyway, any woman who tells me that she doesn't intend on having children instantly becomes useless to me. Whether she is striking or just passable, you're of no worth to me if there is no chance that sex will produce a child.
