We're basically the only people we know in real life who can talk to each other about the topics that show up on these type of sites, I wouldn't share it with the rest of my family. I certainly would share it with my kids when they are old enough to understand some of these things.

But we grew up browsing /pol/ together, and we shared a computer back then, so it wasn't really a big deal. I rarely post, and didn't really browse on my phone, so I just kept looking through his account until recently. I suppose it does kind of sound unusual.

I get that perspective. I'm not talking about waiting until they are 18. But they are very young, and I want them to have an innocent childhood before they have to start worrying about the world, at least as much as possible.

I do talk about preliminary topics, like the value of family, that can eventually lead into why those future topics are important. And we homeschool and don't do TV, so we are somewhat shielded from the propaganda.

But you're right, that you can't keep them from the propaganda forever. I'd just be sad if they didn't get to be innocent of the world's evils for a good long portion of their childhood, you know?

I couldn't agree more, but it's a delicate balancing act. Part of their goal is to destroy your children's innocence, so you need to be careful not to play into that. Personally I was around 14 before I really began to question things, and at that time I was still offended by the word "nigger".

I think the most important part is giving them the tools to reach the right conclusions on their own. Obviously not downplaying the value of direct education, but you want your kids to be able to thoughtfully question authority and use logic and reason.
