The “study” is a projected reality for 75 years from now under a worst case possible scenario. So a completely BS word salad designed for breathless panic headlines. The system seems to be functioning as designed
Maybe, if the worst possible case is that all the species in the ocean can't, y'know, move? Like, if the ocean gets warmer, start swimming or sprouting closer to the poles? This isn't realistic even in the most extreme sense.

Global warming only predicts 2-3° of change and that's a bullshit estimate.
The only things that cause extinctions are huge natural events. 6km wide asteroids, nearby gamma ray burst like the Permian extinction. Some tiny cars and factories? Nope.
We could have near carbon zero energy right now and create millions of jobs if we built 100 new nuclear powerplants. We aren't because it's all a hoax.
