Among the lizardoids, access to the very best human-like masks and skinsuits goes to the highest in the hierarchy, the most useful to the tribe.

When your value/usefulness to the tribe falls below a certain point, you lose access to the best custom fitted masks and skinsuits and have to basically wear "off-the rack". As you can see, these don't fit nearly as well and this serves as an immediate social identifier amongst the lizardiods that one is no longer in favor, and that their rank/value is falling.

At a certain point, the lizardoid's value and disguise quality will drop so low that they can no longer pass as human. At that point they will be reported to the media as having "died" and will be forced to return to the nest.
