I don't believe the earth is flat.
But I do believe Professor Dave is a smug twat. His whole passive aggressive, soy-laden shtick makes me want to choke him out. First of all, I think he teaches test prep at one of those ACT-prep programs, or maybe at a community college. But this guy is not a PhD, not in any field.
That's not even really the point. His way of mocking anybody that questions the mainstream scientific establishment is intellectual masturbation parading as rigor.
He ain't wrong, but he can ditch the look-at-me-I-have-an-undergrad-level-education routine.
The way people now parrot basic scientific concepts as if they are proud to own them does not cease to make me angry.
