Well, yes, I guess, but what about the innocent guy? If you have swift justice, this doesn't need to be a big issue. You can suspend a guy for 2 weeks or whatever while the state makes its case. When it takes 3 years, it's not justice, and there's a lot of problems.
In someways the government shouldn't be charging people they can't make a case against that week. We'll round up to a month. I think that's fair. You either have evidence or you don't. Schedule the trail and present it.
Still investigating? Then don't charge.
You might say it's not lack of case causing delay. It's volume. Yeah. Because they are putting way to much effort into these cases post-charge.
I'm not quite sure I follow on the presumed innocence aspect of cops working while having serious charges. Isn't employment at will? If a cop has serious pending charges against him, his employer would prefer to not have him work, simple as. No one has a right to be a cop.
I totally agree. The government should be able to make most cases very quickly. And they shouldn't charge until they can make them. I am not in favor of big government, but if the government says they need more prosecutors to get criminals off the street they can have them. Of course, I expect results, not more pussy footing around, but the expense is totally worth it and probably pays for itself.
It would also help if you know less shit was illegal. I am probably in the minority on this site, but I think drugs should be legal. I think shooting people who steal your shit should be legal. There is other shit that should be legal, but drugs alone are a huge proportion of cases, and a lot of other shit is incidental revenuing like parole violations.
Fuck the police their all cuntfuckingfuckfuckercuntpissingpisspissercuntfuckingfuckfuckercunts. The police and feds were a mistake it's a mistake to give some one the power to kill other people. Abolish the police and feds i hate them they personally ruined my life i'm lucky i'm not dead yet we need to abolish the albliest police abolishing the police needs to happen the first politician that says we need to abolish the police will have positive word of mouth from me the police are assholes and bastards who answer to Israel.
What's more, he had been reported years before that for allegedly beating his own wife — but after his brothers in blue looked into the situation, they found his wife's claims baseless.
There is a long trail of rape crimes committed by police in this nation. This isn't even uncommon, I remember one just like this from a year ago, that cop was a chimp though.
Then there was Moreno, in NYC. He and his partner "helped" a drunk woman home and then he raped her while his partner watched tv in the living room.

Domestic violence is 2 to 4 times more common in police families than in the general population. In two separate studies, 40% of police officers self-report that they have used violence
