It was no Concord but impressive nonetheless. I believe it had a higher top speed but it had to run with afterburners at all times while cruising above mach 1. The concord could switch them off once they got to speed. It drastically cut down the range of the TU-160.

The Tu-160 makes the B-1 look like a toy honestly. Also these carry passengers. *They have 5 seats. Russia uses them for diplomatic visits sometimes.

I've always rather liked the B-1. My grandfather designed some of the wiring layouts on the original design; I bet much of that has stayed the same, because why change that?
