CO2 molecules radiatively cool the atmospheres of planets like Earth, Mars, and Venus [...] in the 15 μm band starting from 12 km above the surface on up.
Sometime ago a guy did a study of all the planets and their temperatures and pressures and atmospheric contents and recognize that the heat is based on the atmospheric pressure of each planet and has absolutely nothing to do with co2. And Venus's heat was related to the pressure the atmospheric pressure on the planet and had nothing to do with its CO2 either. So this is not a surprising finding. In fact the guy who invented the theory of CO2 greenhouse gases pointed out that it did not work in an open atmosphere venting to space like an Earth but it needed some kind of cover like in a greenhouse that the glass roof provides. And Al Gore famously took the guy's course and the guy clearly said that his theory would have to be tested and it was not to be presumed to be true. And Al Gore of course failed out of the class.
