I guess so - starting up again that is! I continue living 'cos I'm no longer a child. I'm big and tough and all grown up and can accept life's vicissitudes reasonably well. If you're a breeder then you're a f..king arsehole imo. If you're a man, you did it because your woman falsely flattered you: "I want to have a child with you". If you're a women you're a silly bitch who thinks kids remain cute and little show-items forever - they don't. They grow into unpleasant teenagers and worse. We don't need to breed.

Edit: and there's probably the most common reason of all for people to have kids - we want to reproduce others in our likeness such is our overweening vanity. Human beings are appalling creations.

Your mom sounds like she's pretty depressing woman yet she still had you. Ask her if you'd ever brightened up her day, & if she'd hoped she never brought a kid in this terrible world

My ghastly mother, who died a year ago aged 94, told me not long before she died what us kids always knew, she didn't want us: "no-one asked me if I wanted children". She was a reluctant mother. Someone who wanted to explore her own artistic interests rather than wipe kids' bottoms. I suspect the only time I brightened up her day was when left for school.

There are those who would prove to you that they love you, it's just that your life circumstances and it's social circles did not direct you to the places for this. Your mother never found love. If she did she would have been another woman. I think it's important to experience real love while still very young(the love of the parents) before you grow up and experience emphatuation with other things. Even so, if your mom did happen to know love from when she was very young, having a terrible husband can undo it all...

Many of us don’t even have a decent shot of marrying and having kids with someone of our own race who is suitable. Through no fault or disability of our own. Lol if you want to end us than telling us to not have kids is redundant. It’s already happening and we have no choice in the matter. Seems that the only sure way of siring children with a good partner is to be rich. And that is just not meant to be for far too many people today.
